Dartmoor Rescue Team Ashburton is one of four teams within the Dartmoor Rescue Group (DRG), operating from their rescue centre on the outskirts of Ashburton in Devon, on the edge of South Dartmoor. The team’s primary role has extended since the formation of the DRG in 1968, with team members frequently called to search areas not just on Dartmoor, but also across South and East Devon from the moor to the coast including urban areas such as Torbay and Exeter.
